Circular Ecology presenting on LCA and carbon footprinting at Imperial College London

Circular Ecology is giving an invited lecture for the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College London, on 27 October 2016.

Dr Stephen Allen will present on “Life cycle assessment and carbon footprinting – business applications”.

A growing number of businesses are assessing the carbon footprint of their products and operations.  Some consider a wider range of environmental issues via full life cycle assessments (LCAs).  Dr Allen will discuss how these methods are applied by businesses, and why they do it.  He will draw on experience of working with energy technology manufacturers and with FirstGroup, the global transport operator.

The lecture builds on a collaboration between Circular Ecology and Imperial College London that includes a recently published book on micro-generation and a current project on the ‘whole-system carbon impact of wind power‘, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.
